Zejm\u00e9na jeho pr\u00e1ce z konce 60. a po\u010d\u00e1tku 70. let m\u011bly u n\u00e1s vysloven\u011b pr\u016fkopnick\u00fd charakter a byly na \u00farovni sv\u011btov\u00e9 \u0161pi\u010dky ohledn\u011b objektivn\u00ed anal\u00fdzy meteorologick\u00fdch pol\u00ed. Av\u0161ak jeho podstatn\u00e9 p\u0159\u00ednosy maj\u00ed je\u0161t\u011b star\u0161\u00ed ko\u0159eny. Dr. \u0160koda st\u00e1l u na\u0161ich prvn\u00edch prognostick\u00fdch v\u00fdpo\u010dt\u016f hladiny 500 hPa podle barotropn\u00edho modelu, posl\u00e9ze u aplikac\u00ed t\u0159\u00edparametrick\u00e9ho baroklinn\u00edho modelu v \u010ds. pov\u011btrnostn\u00ed slu\u017eb\u011b.
