Studoval a maturoval na re\u00e1lce v Praze-Karl\u00edn\u011b a pot\u00e9 pokra\u00ad\u010doval ve studi\u00edch na p\u0159\u00edrodov\u011bdeck\u00e9 fakult\u011b Karlovy university v Praze, obor matematiky, fysiky a zem\u011bpisu. Od po\u010d\u00e1tku sv\u00fdch studi\u00ed m\u011bl \u017eiv\u00fd z\u00e1jem o meteorologii, na ni\u017e se pak specializoval. <br \/><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e93c11f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e93c11f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_ha_eqh_enable&quot;:false}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-6b169ea\" data-id=\"6b169ea\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-768db9e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"768db9e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Po vypracov\u00e1n\u00ed dizerta\u010dn\u00ed pr\u00e1ce z klimatologie, slo\u017eil s vyznamen\u00e1n\u00edm rigor\u00f3zn\u00ed zkou\u0161ky z meteorologie, klimatologie, zem\u011bpisu a z filo\u00adzofie p\u0159\u00edrodn\u00edch v\u011bd, \u010d\u00edm\u017e dos\u00e1hl v \u010dervnu 1931 doktor\u00e1tu p\u0159\u00edrodn\u00edch v\u011bd.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Ji\u017e za sv\u00fdch vysoko\u0161kolsk\u00fdch studi\u00ed pracoval Zden\u011bk Dvorn\u00fd v\u00fdpomocn\u011b v leteck\u00e9 pov\u011btrnostn\u00ed slu\u017eb\u011b, a to v r. 1927, tedy ji\u017e p\u0159ed 40 lety, na leti\u0161ti ve Kbel\u00edch, a pak v r. 1928 na leti\u0161ti v Mari\u00e1nsk\u00fdch L\u00e1zn\u00edch. Po dokto\u00adr\u00e1tu se stal vysoko\u0161kolsk\u00fdm asistentem \u00dastavu pro meteorologii a klimatologii Karlovy university. V roce 1932 pak p\u0159e\u0161el do tehdej\u0161\u00edho St\u00e1tn\u00edho meteorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu; v meteorologick\u00e9 slu\u017eb\u011b z\u016fstal a\u017e do sv\u00e9ho n\u00e1hl\u00e9ho \u00famrt\u00ed. B\u011bhem sv\u00e9 \u010dinnosti v meteorologick\u00e9 a pozd\u011bji hydrometeorologick\u00e9 slu\u017eb\u011b pro\u0161el Dr. Dvorn\u00fd nejr\u016fzn\u011bj\u0161\u00edmi funkcemi: za\u010d\u00ednal jako leteck\u00fd meteorolog, pak pracoval jako synoptik, potom jako klimatolog a v po\u00adsledn\u00ed dob\u011b jako pracovn\u00edk ve v\u00fdzkumu. Po n\u011bjak\u00fd \u010das p\u016fsobil t\u00e9\u017e jako odborn\u00fd referent pro meteorologii na ministerstvu dopravy, v \u00fastavu zast\u00e1val t\u00e9\u017e funkci vedouc\u00edho publika\u010dn\u00ed sekce a hlavn\u00edho redaktora \u00fastavn\u00edho \u010dasopisu Meteorologick\u00e9 zpr\u00e1vy.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">V\u011bdecky pracoval Dr. Dvorn\u00fd v oboru meteorologick\u00e9 terminologie. Tak nap\u0159. vypracoval v\u0161echna hesla pro \u201eLeteck\u00fd slovn\u00edk&#8221; a spolupracoval p\u0159i p\u0159\u00edprav\u011b \u201eTechnick\u00e9ho slovn\u00edku&#8221; a \u201eMal\u00e9ho \u010desk\u00e9ho slovn\u00edku&#8221;.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">V posledn\u00edch letech v\u0161ak ji\u017e \u00faporn\u00e1 choroba podr\u00fdvala jeho zdrav\u00ed a nedovolovala mu soust\u0159edit dostatek sil, aby mohl ve sv\u00fdch p\u0159edsevzat\u00fdch pracech \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b pokra\u010dovat. Projevoval v\u0161ak do posledn\u00ed chv\u00edle poctivou snahu pracovat; proto ani nevyu\u017eil mo\u017enosti odej\u00edt na zaslou\u017eil\u00fd odpo\u010dinek, kdy\u017e v listopadu 1966 z\u00edskal na n\u011bj z\u00e1konn\u00fd n\u00e1rok.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Dr. Dvorn\u00fd t\u011b\u0161il se mezi sv\u00fdmi spolupracovn\u00edky pro sv\u00e9 zku\u0161enosti \u00fact\u011b a v\u00e1\u017enosti a pro svou milou a dobro-srde\u010dnou povahu byl velmi obl\u00edben. Nikdy neodm\u00edtl \u017e\u00e1dnou pr\u00e1ci a \u017e\u00e1dnou radu, byl v\u017edy ochoten ka\u017ed\u00e9mu pomoci.
