Po absolvov\u00e1n\u00ed re\u00e1ln\u00e9ho gymn\u00e1zia n\u00e1sledovaly studia matematiky a deskriptivn\u00ed geometrie na \u010cesk\u00e9 univerzit\u011b a\u00a0technice v Praze. \u010cty\u0159i semestry tak\u00e9 studoval techniku v\u00a0Brn\u011b, kde p\u016fsobil jako asistent profesora Suchardy. Bed\u0159ich \u0160alamon vynikal v\u00fdborn\u00fdmi pedagogick\u00fdmi schopnostmi. Sv\u016fj talent v tomto sm\u011bru mohl uplatnit jak b\u011bhem patn\u00e1ctilet\u00e9ho p\u016fsoben\u00ed na re\u00e1ln\u00e9m gymn\u00e1ziu v Mlad\u00e9 Boleslavi a Praze, tak i za vysoko\u0161kolsk\u00e9ho p\u016fsoben\u00ed.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Sv\u00e9 poznatky z matematiky a geometrie aplikoval do oblasti kartografie. Roku 1922 se habilitoval z matematick\u00e9 geografie a kartografie. Na akademick\u00fd rok 1939-1940 byl zvolen d\u011bkanem P\u0159\u00edrodov\u011bdeck\u00e9 fakulty UK, av\u0161ak v listopadu 1939 byly vysok\u00e9 \u0161koly uzav\u0159eny nacisty.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Po v\u00e1lce se vr\u00e1til na univerzitu a p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161el \u0159adu kartografick\u00fdch i geofyzik\u00e1ln\u00edch p\u0159edm\u011bt\u016f, nap\u0159. kartografii, matematickou geografii, geofyziku pro geografy i pro geofyziky, i discipl\u00edny geografick\u00e9 v\u00a0u\u017e\u0161\u00edm slova smyslu. V letech 1953-1956, kdy ode\u0161el do d\u016fchodu, p\u016fsobil ve funkci vedouc\u00edho katedry kartografie a fyzick\u00e9 geografie. Zem\u0159el 26. \u010dervence 1967 v Praze.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>V\u011bdeck\u00e1 a publika\u010dn\u00ed \u010dinnost<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">T\u011b\u017ei\u0161t\u011b a v\u00fdznam \u0160alamonovy pr\u00e1ce spo\u010d\u00edvaj\u00ed p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm v jeho pedagogick\u00e9 \u010dinnosti. Velk\u00e9 pracovn\u00ed vyt\u00ed\u017een\u00ed i vlastn\u00ed sebekriti\u010dnost mu br\u00e1nily v rozs\u00e1hlej\u0161\u00ed publika\u010dn\u00ed \u010dinnosti, kde by mohl uplatnit sv\u00e9 hlubok\u00e9 znalosti. S V\u00e1clavem \u0160vamberou a Karlem Kucha\u0159em se pod\u00edlel na vyd\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed edice <em>Monumenta cartographica Bohemiae<\/em>. S Karlem Kucha\u0159em publikoval tak\u00e9 n\u011bkolik verz\u00ed <em>Atlasu pro\u00a0st\u0159edn\u00ed \u0161koly<\/em>. Po univerzitn\u00edch studi\u00edch p\u016fsobil jako asistent prof. Suchardy v Brn\u011b a u\u010dil na st\u0159edn\u00edch \u0161kol\u00e1ch v Mlad\u00e9 Boleslavi a v Praze. V Praze na univerzit\u011b p\u016fsbil pozd\u011bji jako lektor a p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161el o matematick\u00e9 geografii a kartografii (ikdy\u017e v oblasti kartografie byl v podstat\u011b samouk). Teprve po vzniku \u010cSR se v roce 1922 habilitoval pr\u00e1v\u011b z matematick\u00e9 geografie a kartografie na P\u0159\u00edrodov\u011bdeck\u00e9 fakult\u011b UK. V roce \u00a01925 byl Bed\u0159ich \u0160alamon jmenov\u00e1n mimo\u0159\u00e1dn\u00fdm a r. 1931 \u0159\u00e1dn\u00fdm profesorem na UK. R. 1922 se habilitoval pro obor matematick\u00e9 geografie a kartografie a po t\u0159ech letech byl jmenov\u00e1n mimo\u00ad\u0159\u00e1dn\u00fdm a r.1931 \u0159\u00e1dn\u00fdm profesorem t\u011bchto obor\u016f.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Prof. \u0160alamon do\u0161el ve sv\u00e9 pr\u00e1ci k teoretick\u00e9mu zvl\u00e1dnut\u00ed kartografie a stykem s tehdej\u0161\u00edmi p\u0159edstaviteli \u010desk\u00e9 geografie, prof. Z\u00e1sady t\u00e9to kritiky uplatnil p\u0159i edici Monumenta cartographica Bohemiae (1938), jej\u00edm\u017e byl spoluredaktorem. L\u00e1sky. Zpo\u010d\u00e1tku se stala p\u0159edm\u011btem jeho z\u00e1jmu gravimetrie, pozd\u011bji p\u0159e\u0161el k dal\u0161\u00edm geofyzik\u00e1ln\u00edm obor\u016fm, seismice a zemsk\u00e9mu magnetismu. V r. 1927 byl jedn\u00edm z organiz\u00e1tor\u016f gener\u00e1ln\u00edho shrom\u00e1\u017ed\u011bn\u00ed. Mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed unie geodetick\u00e9 a geofyzik\u00e1ln\u00ed v Praze a m\u00e1 zna\u010dn\u00fd pod\u00edl na jeho \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e9m pr\u016fb\u011bhu. Prof. \u0160alamon se stal po od\u00adchodu L\u00e1skov\u011b do v\u00fdslu\u017eby r. 1933 jeho n\u00e1stupcem a \u0159editelem St\u00e1tn\u00edho \u00fastavu geofyzik\u00e1ln\u00edho, jeho\u017e r\u016fst, bohat\u00e1 publika\u010dn\u00ed i v\u011bdeck\u00e1 \u010dinnost byla podm\u00edn\u011bna usilovnou organiza\u010dn\u00ed prac\u00ed \u0160alamonovou, kter\u00e9mu se poda\u0159ilo udr\u017eet \u010dinnost \u00fastavu a\u017e do r. 1942.
