Pr\u00e1ve p\u0159ed 100 rokmi sa narodil v\u00a0Spi\u0161sk\u00fdch Toma\u0161ovciach Dr. \u0160tefan Petrovi\u010d, dlhoro\u010dn\u00fd riadiaci a vedeck\u00fd pracovn\u00edk Siovensk\u00e9ho hydrometeorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu v Bratislave, nestor slovenskej klimatol\u00f3gie a jedna z najv\u00fdznamnej\u0161\u00edch osobnost\u00ed slovenskej i \u010deskoslovenskej meteorol\u00f3gie a klimatol\u00f3gie.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">V roku 1931 vy\u0161tudoval matematiku a fyziku na UK v Prahe, kde prejavil z\u00e1ujem o meteorol\u00f3giu a klimatol\u00f3giu. V\u00fdznamne sa zasl\u00fa\u017eil o zriadenie \u0160t\u00e1tneho meteorologick\u00e9ho \u00falstavu na Slovensku v roku 1939. Redak\u010dne a autorsky sa podielal na tak\u00fdch dielach ako Atlas podnebia \u010ceskoslovenska (1958), Klimatick\u00e9 a fenologick\u00e9 pomery krajov Slovenska (1966, 1968, 1912), Klimatografia k\u00fapeln\u00fdch a vybran\u00fdch miest Slovenska (1976) aj. Dr. Petrovi\u010d publikoval vedeck\u00e9 pr\u00e1ce e\u0161te aj vo veku 80 rokov. Svojou rozsiahlou vedeckou, odbornou aj organiza\u010dnou pr\u00e1cou sa trvale zap\u00edsal do modernej hist\u00f3rie slovenskej meteorol\u00f3gie a klimatol\u00f3gie, pri\u010dom z\u00edskal zasl\u00fa\u017eene aj nemal\u00fd ohlas v zahrani\u010d\u00ed. Dna 29. janu\u00e1ra 2000 n\u00e1s po kr\u00e1tkej chorobe nav\u017edy opustil vo veku 93 rokov a 3 mesiace.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rteright\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: Petrovi\u010dom, jedn\u00fdm zo zakladatelov meteorologickej slu\u017eby na Slovensku.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">\u017divotn\u00e9 peripetie a v\u011bdeck\u00e9 \u00fasp\u011bchy dlh\u00e9ho a plodn\u00e9ho \u017eivota zosnul\u00e9ho (nar. 25. 10. 1906 v Spi\u0161sk\u00fdch Tom\u00e1\u0161ovciach), boli publikovan\u00e9 v r\u00f3znych encyklop\u00e9diach, najma v\u0161ak v Meteorologick\u00fdch zpr\u00e1v\u00e1ch [1956, \u010d. 5-6; 1966, \u011b. 6; 1972, \u010d. 1; 1976, \u010d. 4; 1986, \u010d. 4; 1996, \u010d. 5], Pat\u0159\u00ed k skupin\u011b zakladatefov Meteorologick\u00fdch zpr\u00e1v, v redak\u010dnej rade p\u00f3sobil rekordn\u00fdch 33 rokov, za \u010do mu pri tej\u00adto p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitosti redak\u010dn\u00e1 rada vyslovuje \u00factu i po\u010fakovanie.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cmes.cz\/sites\/default\/files\/Petrovi%C4%8D-poh%C5%99eb.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Ako meteorolog za\u010d\u00ednal roku 1931 v leteckej poveternostnej slu\u017eb\u011b vtedaj\u0161ieho \u0160t\u00e1tneho meteorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu v Prahe. Od roku 1939 a\u017e do odchodu na d\u00f3chodok (1972) pracoval v teraj\u0161om Slovenskom hydrometeorologickom \u00fastave v Bratislav\u011b. Chronologick\u00fd zoznam n\u00edm publikova\u00adn\u00fdch pr\u00e1c (monografi\u00ed, \u010dasopiseck\u00fdch \u010dl\u00e1nkov, recenzi! a pod.) skon\u010dil p\u0159i \u010d\u00edsle 236. Niektor\u00e9 z nich, najma t\u00fdkaj\u00face sa klimatografick\u00fdch spracov\u00e1n\u00ed, klasifik\u00e1cie kl\u00edmy, bioklimatologick\u00fdch faktorov a dal\u0161\u00edch, s\u00fa zahrnut\u00e9 do sv\u011btov\u011bj klimatologickej bibliografie vydanej v USA.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Jeho \u010dinnos\u0165 v\u011bdeck\u00e1, pedagogick\u00e1 a organiza\u010dn\u00e1 je mno\u00adhostrann\u00e1 a bohat\u00e1. Bol \u010dlenom r\u00f3znych v\u011bdeck\u00fdch r\u00e1d, sku-\u0161obn\u00fdch komisi\u00ed a pod. Spolu s prof. M. Kon\u010dekom bol zakladatelom teraj\u0161ieho Slovensk\u00e9ho hydrometeorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu, Slovenskej meteorologickej spolo\u010dnosti (bol tie\u017e jej prv\u00fdm predsedom) atd. Jeho odborn\u00e1 \u010dinnos\u0165 bola ocen\u011bn\u00e1 viacer\u00fdmi vyznamenaniami (napr. roku 1970 Za z\u00e1sluhy a v\u00fd\u00adstavbu), bol nositelbm viacer\u00fdch dom\u00e1cich i zahrani\u010dn\u00fdch \u010destn\u00fdch uznan\u00ed, \u010dlenstiev, plakiet a diplomov, Na jeho po\u010dest menom \u201ePetrovi\u010d&#8221; bola pomenovan\u00e1 jedna z planetiek medzi Marsom a Jupiterom.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">\u010clov\u011bk sa rod\u00ed, aby pracoval, miloval, radoval sa i \u017eialil. Zosnul\u00fd dr. \u0160. Petrovi\u010d vrchovato naplnil tieto z\u00e1kladn\u00e9 po\u00adstul\u00e1ty \u017eivota. Jako autor nebo spoluautor publikoval p\u0159es 200 v\u011bdeck\u00fdch prac\u00ed a v\u00fdznamn\u011b se pod\u00edlel i na kni\u017en\u00edch publikac\u00edch. V\u00a0t\u00e9to souvislosti p\u0159ipome\u0148me jeho v\u00fdznamn\u00fd pod\u00edl na Klimatologick\u00e9m atlasu. Je zakl\u00e1daj\u00edc\u00edm \u010dlenem Slovensk\u00e9 meteorologick\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti a byl jej\u00edm prvn\u00edm p\u0159edsedou. Po \u0159adu let byl t\u00e9\u017e respektovan\u00fdm \u010dlenem redak\u010dn\u00ed rady \u010dasopisu Meteorologick\u00e9 Zpr\u00e1vy.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Do dal\u0161\u00edch let p\u0159ejeme jubilantovi zdrav\u00ed a mnoho \u017eivotn\u00ed pohody. Jubilant svojou rozsiahlou v\u011bdeckou, odbornou aj organiza\u010dnou pr\u00e1cou sa trvale zap\u00edsal do modernej historie slovenskej meteorol\u00f3gie a klimatol\u00f3gie.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Dr. \u0160tefan Petrovi\u010d sa narodil 25. okt\u00f3bra 1906 v Spi\u0161\u00adsk\u00fdch Toma\u0161oviciach. Gymnazi\u00e1ln\u011b \u0161t\u00fadium ukon\u010dil v roku 1925 v Levo\u010di. V roku 1931 dr. Petrovi\u010d ukon\u010dil \u0161t\u00fadium matematiky a fyziky na Karlovej univerzit\u011b v Prahe. U\u017e po\u010das vysoko\u0161kolsk\u00e9ho \u0161t\u00fadia prejavil veHc\u00fd z\u00e1ujem o meteorol\u00f3giu. Po krat\u0161om do\u010dasnom zam\u011bstnan\u00ed v leteckej poveternostnej slu\u017eb\u011b \u0160t\u00e1tneho meteorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu v Prahe p\u00f3sobil ako gymnazi\u00e1lny profesor v Ko\u0161iciach a kr\u00e1tko v Trnav\u011b. Dr. Petrovi\u010d, v\u011brn\u00fd svojej l\u00e1ske k meteorologii, st\u00e1l pri z\u00e1kladoch \u0160t\u00e1tneho meteorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu na Slo\u00advensku v roku 1939 a po cel\u00fdch 47 rokov ho obetavo a nezi\u0161t\u00adn\u00e9 pom\u00e1hal budova\u0165. V roku 1940 z\u00edskal hodnos\u0165 doktora pr\u00edrodn\u00fdch vied na Univerzit\u011b Komensk\u00e9ho v Bratislav\u011b. Pop\u0159i pr\u00e1ci v meteorologickej slu\u017eb\u011b predn\u00e1\u0161al meteorol\u00f3giu a klimatol\u00f3giu na Slovenskej vysokej \u0161kole technickej. V roku 1950 sa na pr\u00edrodovedeckej fakult\u011b Univerzity Komensk\u00e9ho habilitoval ako s\u00fakromn\u00fd docent. V rokoch 1953-1955 bol dr. Petrovi\u010d extern\u00fdm spolupracovn\u00edkom Zem\u011bpisn\u00e9ho \u00fastavu Slovenskej akad\u00e9mie vied. Bol zakladatel\u016fm a prv\u00fdm predsedom Slovenskej meteorologickej spolo\u010dnosti. Pracoval vo v\u00fdbore Slovenskej bioklimatickej spolo\u010dnosti, viacer\u00fdch v\u011bdeck\u00fdch aj redak\u010dn\u00fdch rad\u00e1ch. Bol najdlh\u0161ie p\u00f3sobiacim \u010dlenom redak\u010dnej rady Meteorologick\u00fdch zpr\u00e1v.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Za 47 rokov svojho p\u00f3sobenia na Slovenskom hydrome\u00adteorologickou! \u00fastave pracoval vo v\u0161etk\u00fdch z\u00e1kladn\u00fdch odbo\u00adrech meteorologickej slu\u017eby, kde zast\u00e1val viacer\u00e9 ved\u00face funkcie. Nesk\u00f3r sa plne specializoval na klimatol\u00f3giu. V tom\u00adto odbore dosiahol najv\u00fdznamnej\u0161ie v\u011bdeck\u00e9 \u00fasp\u011bchy aj med-zin\u00e1rodn\u00e9 uznanie. Publika\u010dn\u00e1 \u010dinnost&#8217; dr. Petrovi\u010da je mimoriadne rozsiahla. Zoznam vy\u0161e 100 publik\u00e1ci\u00ed mo\u017eno n\u00e1js\u0165 v Meteorologick\u00fdch zpr\u00e1v\u00e1ch 1996 \u010d. 5, 1972 \u010d. 1, 1976 \u010d. 4, 1986 \u010d. 4. Dr. Petrovi\u010d m\u00e1 verk\u00e9 z\u00e1sluhy na vypracovan\u00ed Atlasu podnebia \u010ceskoslovenskej republiky, vr\u00e1tane tabufkovej \u010dasti a s\u00fabornej \u0161t\u00fadie, ktor\u00e9 reprezentuj\u00fa z\u00e1kladn\u00fa klimatografiu n\u00e1\u0161ho \u00fazemia. Jubilant je spoluautorem viacer\u00fdch kni\u017en\u00fdch publik\u00e1ci\u00ed, napr. o klimatick\u00fdch a fenologick\u00fdch pomerov jednotliv\u00fdch krajov Slovenska, resp. Klimatografie k\u00fapeln\u00fdch miest Slovenska. Desiatky \u010dl\u00e1nkov v odborn\u00fdch \u010dasopisoch sa dot\u00fdkaj\u00fa prakticky v\u0161etk\u00fdch smerov klimatol\u00f3\u00adgie. Dr. Petrovi\u010d vyhodnotil teplotn\u011b, vlhkostn\u011b, zr\u00e1\u017ekov\u00e9 aj vetern\u00e9 pom\u011bry v \u0159ade lokalit a oblast\u00ed Slovenska. V\u011bnoval sa zvl\u00e1\u0161tnostiam aj extr\u00e9mom kl\u00edmy. Rozvinul metody komplexnej klimatografie, dynamickej klimatol\u00f3gie, technickej klimatol\u00f3gie aj bioklimatol\u00f3gie. Pr\u00edkladom l\u00e1sky k meteoro\u00adlogii je skuto\u010dnos\u0165, \u017ee publikoval e\u0161te vo veku 80 rokov.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Dr. Petrovi\u010d v celom svojom akt\u00edvnom obdob\u00ed bol st\u00e1l\u00fdm propag\u00e1torem nov\u00fdch smerov, my\u0161lienok a pracovn\u00fdch met\u00f3d. V\u00edce ne\u017e 47 let, od roku 1939, pracoval nep\u0159etr\u017eit\u011b na Hydrometeorologick\u00e9m \u00fastavu, i kdy\u017e po roku 1980 jako d\u016fchodce na zkr\u00e1cen\u00fd \u00favazek. V\u017edy iniciativn\u011b a s\u00a0el\u00e1nem p\u0159istupoval k\u00a0\u0159e\u0161en\u00ed pl\u00e1novan\u00fdch i nepl\u00e1novan\u00fdch \u00fakol\u016f, kter\u00e9 \u00fastav musel operativn\u011b \u0159e\u0161it pro svoje z\u00e1kazn\u00edky.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Jeho \u010dinnost jsme u\u017e hodnotili v\u00edcekr\u00e1t p\u0159i p\u0159edch\u00e1zej\u00edc\u00edch jubile\u00edch na str\u00e1nk\u00e1ch odborn\u00fdch \u010dasopis\u016f (Meteorologick\u00e9 Zpr\u00e1vy apod.), naposledy p\u0159i jeho osmdes\u00e1tin\u00e1ch (Meteorologick\u00e9 Zpr\u00e1vy, 39, 1986, \u010d. 4), proto nepova\u017eujeme za pot\u0159ebn\u00e9 znovu p\u0159ipom\u00ednat jeho rozs\u00e1hlou vysokou odbornou \u00fa\u010dast na t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 v\u0161ech z\u00e1kladn\u00edch prac\u00edch z\u00a0oboru klimatologie v\u00a0\u010cSFR, kter\u00e9 byly uzn\u00e1van\u00e9 i v\u00a0zahrani\u010d\u00ed.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">V\u00a0posledn\u00edch letech sv\u00e9 aktivn\u00ed \u010dinnosti publikoval n\u011bkolik v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvk\u016f s\u00e1m, nebo ve spolupr\u00e1ci s\u00a0jin\u00fdmi odborn\u00edky. Viao ako 47 rokov, od roku 1939, pracuje nep\u0159etr\u017eit\u00e9 na Hydrometeorologiekom \u00fastave, aj ked v ostatn\u00fdch rokoch ako d\u00f3chodca. V\u017edy s el\u00e1-nom p\u0159istupoval a p\u0159istupuje k rie\u0161eniu pl\u00e1novan\u00fdch aj nepl\u00e1novan\u00fdch \u00faloh, ktor\u00e9 \u00fastav mus\u00ed operativn\u011b rie\u0161i\u0165 pre svojich z\u00e1ujemcov.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Jeho \u010dinnost sme u\u017e viackr\u00e1t ocenili pri predch\u00e1dzaj\u00facich jubile\u00e1ch na str\u00e1nk\u00e1ch n\u00e1\u0161ho \u010dasopisu, ostatn\u00fd raz pri jeho 75. narodonin\u00e1ch (Meteorol. zpr., 34, 1981, \u010d. 6), preto net\u0159eba znovu p\u0159ipom\u00ednat jeho rozsiahlu \u00fa\u010dast na takmer v\u0161etk\u00fdch z\u00e1kladn\u00fdch klimatick\u00fdch pr\u00e1cach v \u010cSSR, ktor\u00e9 boli odmenon\u00e9 vysok\u00fdmi \u0161t\u00e1tnymi vyznamonaniami.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">V ostatn\u00fdch 5 rokoch publikoval niekolko v\u00fdznamn\u00fdch pr\u00edspevkov s\u00e1m, alebo v spolupr\u00e1ci s in\u00fdmi odborn\u00edkmi. V ostatn\u00fdch 5 rokoch, naj\u010dastej\u0161ie v spolupr\u00e1ci s Dr. J. \u0160olt\u00edsom, publi\u00adkoval viac pr\u00edspevkov so zameran\u00edm na technick\u00fa kl\u00edmu (vetern\u00e9 pom\u011bry pri zr\u00e1\u017ekach na vybran\u00fdch miestach Slo\u00advenska, teplotnozr\u00e1\u017ekov\u00e9 vztahy), so zameran\u00edm na horsk\u00fa kl\u00edmu (Chopok, Kr\u00ed\u017ena) a na dynamick\u00fa kl\u00edmu (B\u0159ezno, Chopok, Poprad). Od t\u00fdch \u010dias pracuje st\u00e1le na \u00fastave, ktor\u00fd s\u00e1m pom\u00e1hal ne\u017eistne budova\u0165. Za 32 rokov svojej \u010dinnosti v meteorologickej slu\u017eb\u011b pracoval vo v\u0161etk\u00fdch z\u00e1kladn\u00fdch odboroch slu\u017eby, kde zast\u00e1val aj r\u00f3zne ved\u00face funkcie. Nakoniec sa dr. \u0160. Petrovi\u010d \u0161pecializoval v klimatologii a v tomto odbore pracuje a\u017e doteraz. Bol st\u00e1l\u00fdm propag\u00e1torom nov\u00fdch smerov v meteorologii, my\u0161lienok a pracovn\u00fdch met\u00f3d, ktor\u00e9 aj s\u00e1m pou\u017e\u00edval pri svojich pr\u00e1cach v odbore klimatologie pre pot\u0159eby n\u00e1\u0161ho n\u00e1rodn\u00e9ho hospod\u00e1rstva.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cmes.cz\/sites\/default\/files\/Petrovi%C4%8D%2065.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Dr. \u0160. Rovnako velk\u00fa z\u00e1sluhu m\u00e1 dr. \u0160. Petrovi\u010d na vypracovan\u00ed diela \u201ePodnebie \u010ceskoslovenskej socialistickej republiky &#8211; Tabulky&#8221;, ktor\u00e9 vy\u0161lo v roku 1960. Tretia \u010das\u0165 celo\u0161t\u00e1tneho diela o podneb\u00ed republiky, ktorej bol dr. \u0160. Petrovi\u010d hlavn\u00fdm redaktorom, koordin\u00e1torom a autorom mnoh\u00fdch jeho stat\u00ed, vydal Hydrometeorologick\u00fd \u00fastav v roku 1969.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Dr. \u0160. Petrovi\u010d je sk\u00fasen\u00fdm u\u010ditelom a radcom, spoluvychov\u00e1vatelom novej gener\u00e1cie odborn\u00edkov najma na Slovensku. Od \u0161tudijn\u00e9ho roku 1941\/47 predn\u00e1\u0161al meteorol\u00f3giu a klimatol\u00f3giu na Slovenskej vysokej \u0161kole technickej v Bratislav\u011b.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">V roku 1953\u201455 bol extern\u00fdm spolupracovn\u00edkom klimato\u00adlogick\u00e9ho oddelenia Zem\u011bpisn\u00e9ho \u00fastavu SAV. Bol spoluzakladatelom a prv\u00fdm predsedom Slovenskej meteorologickej spolo\u010dnosti. Je st\u00e1l\u00fdm \u010dlenom vedeckej rady V\u00fdskumn\u00e9ho \u00fastavu TANAPu a \u010dlenom v\u00fdboru Slovenskej bioklimatickej spolo\u010dnosti. Taktie\u017e je \u010dlenom redak\u010dnej rady Meteorologick\u00fdch spr\u00e1v od roku 1947.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Dr. \u0160. Petrovi\u010d vykonal viac Studijn\u00fdch ciest do zahrani\u010dia. Okrem in\u00e9ho z\u00fa\u010dastnil sa v roku 1955 ako \u010dlen \u010ds. deleg\u00e1cie na kongrese Sv\u011btov\u011bj meteorologickej organiz\u00e1cie v \u017denev\u011b. V roku bol 1956 \u010dlenom \u010ds. deleg\u00e1cie na zased\u00e1n\u00ed region\u00e1lnej asoci\u00e1cie VI v Dubrovn\u00edku.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Popularizovaniu meteorol\u00f3gie a klimatologie v\u011bnoval jubilant velk\u00fd po\u010det \u010dl\u00e1nkov.
