Po studiu gymn\u00e1zia se v roce 1945 stal poslucha\u010dem P\u0159\u00edrodov\u011bdeck\u00e9 fakulty Karlovy univerzity. P\u0159i studiu se zaj\u00edmal o meteorologii a klimatologii, kter\u00e1 souvisela s jeho z\u00e1libou \u2013 placht\u011bn\u00edm. V\u00a0roce 1950 promoval na doktora p\u0159\u00edrodn\u00edch v\u011bd. Po vojensk\u00e9 slu\u017eb\u011b se stal zam\u011bstnancem Hydrometeorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu, kde p\u016fsobil jako vedouc\u00ed radiosond\u00e1\u017en\u00ed stanice na leti\u0161ti v Praze-Ruzyni a pozd\u011bji jako vedouc\u00ed aerologick\u00e9ho odd\u011blen\u00ed.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Tehdy 36let\u00fd se zab\u00fdval v\u00fdzkumem vy\u0161\u0161\u00edch vrstev atmosf\u00e9ry. Uve\u0159ej\u0148oval odborn\u00e9 a popul\u00e1rn\u00ed pojedn\u00e1n\u00ed meteorologie na sv\u011btov\u00e9 \u00farovni na konferenc\u00edch v\u00a0zahrani\u010d\u00ed. Byl st\u00e1l\u00fdm z\u00e1stupcem v aerologick\u00e9 komisi Sv\u011btov\u00e9 meteorologick\u00e9 organizaci. Jato \u010dlen p\u00e1t\u00e9 sov\u011btsk\u00e9 Antarktick\u00e9 expedice pracoval na stanici Mirnyj. Sv\u00e9 \u00fakoly \u2013 vlastn\u00ed m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed atmosf\u00e9rick\u00e9 cirkulace nad ji\u017en\u00edm p\u00f3lem plnil sv\u011bdomit\u011b. Jako \u010dtvrt\u00fd \u010cechoslov\u00e1k, kter\u00fd se do Antarktidy dostal, se na svou cestu pe\u010dliv\u011b p\u0159ipravoval. Po 18 m\u011bs\u00edc\u00edch se m\u011bl vr\u00e1tit ke sv\u00e9 rodin\u011b. V\u00a0krut\u00fdch klimatick\u00fdch podm\u00ednk\u00e1ch, kter\u00e9 prov\u00e1zej\u00ed jihopol\u00e1rn\u00ed zimu, RNDr. Old\u0159ich Kostka dne 3. srpna 1960 tragicky zahynul p\u0159i po\u017e\u00e1ru na stanici Mirnyj. V jeho osob\u011b ztratila -\u010desk\u00e1 meteorologie mlad\u00e9ho v\u00fdznamn\u00e9ho v\u011bdeck\u00e9ho pracovn\u00edka.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">O 35 let pozd\u011bji, v letech 1994\u20131995 aktivity pokra\u010dovaly v r\u00e1mci 19. antarktick\u00e9 expedice Polsk\u00e9 akademie v\u011bd na polsk\u00e9 stanici Arctowski. Po 50 letech se \u010cHM\u00da op\u011bt zapojuje do v\u00fdzkumu v Antarktid\u011b v r\u00e1mci v\u00fdzkumn\u00e9ho \u00fakolu Ministerstva \u017eivotn\u00edho prost\u0159ed\u00ed VAV-M\u017dP \u010d. SPII1a9\/23\/07 \u201eP\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvek \u010cR k zaji\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed stavu ozonov\u00e9 vrstvy Zem\u011b a slune\u010dn\u00edho UV z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed v Antarktid\u011b, \u00a0paleoklimatick\u00e1 a paleogeografick\u00e1 rekonstrukce vybran\u00e9ho \u00fazem\u00ed Antarktidy a souvisej\u00edc\u00ed geologick\u00e9 studium a mapov\u00e1n\u00ed.\u201c<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">V geografick\u00e9 oblasti Antarktidy do\u0161lo vlivem p\u016fsoben\u00ed glob\u00e1ln\u00edch emis\u00ed ONL (ozon ni\u010d\u00edc\u00ed l\u00e1tky) k dosud nejrozs\u00e1hlej\u0161\u00edmu zeslaben\u00ed ozonov\u00e9 vrstvy, kter\u00e9 je v\u0161eobecn\u00e9 zn\u00e1m\u00e9 pod ozna\u010den\u00edm \u201eozonov\u00e1 d\u00edra\u201c. Komplexn\u00ed a pravideln\u00e9 sledov\u00e1n\u00ed t\u00e9to anom\u00e1Iie je kl\u00ed\u010dov\u00fdm \u00fakolem k hodnocen\u00ed \u00fa\u010dinnosti Montrealsk\u00e9ho protokolu a jeho dodatk\u016f a ke spolehliv\u00e9 identifikaci p\u0159edpokl\u00e1dan\u00e9 p\u0159irozen\u00e9 glob\u00e1ln\u00ed obnovy ozonov\u00e9 vrstvy. Vazby mezi extr\u00e9mn\u00edmi zm\u011bnami celkov\u00e9ho ozonu a intenzitou spektr\u00e1ln\u00edho slo\u017een\u00ed UV slune\u010dn\u00edho z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed, dopadaj\u00edc\u00edho na zemsk\u00fd povrch, umo\u017e\u0148uj\u00ed prov\u00e1d\u011bt jejich anal\u00fdzu v unik\u00e1tn\u00edch p\u0159\u00edrodn\u00edch podm\u00ednk\u00e1ch a vyu\u017e\u00edt v\u00fdsledky m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed k dal\u0161\u00edm interdisciplin\u00e1rn\u00edm studi\u00edm.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Monitoring stavu stratosf\u00e9rick\u00e9ho ozonu a UV z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed v oblasti \u201eozonov\u00e9 d\u00edry\u201c je p\u0159edm\u011btem \u0161irok\u00e9ho mezin\u00e1rodn\u00edho zapojen\u00ed v\u011bdeck\u00fdch instituc\u00ed a agentur. Prostorov\u00e1 m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed se prov\u00e1d\u011bj\u00ed p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm pomoc\u00ed n\u011bkolika dru\u017eicov\u00fdch syst\u00e9m\u016f (NASA, ESA, EUMETSAI). Kvalita jejich monitoringu je ale z\u00e1visl\u00e1 na korekci satelit\u016f pomoc\u00ed pozemn\u00edch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed, prov\u00e1d\u011bn\u00fdch na omezen\u00e9m po\u010dtu stanic, m\u011b\u0159\u00edc\u00edch v r\u016fzn\u00fdch oblastech kontinentu. Po\u010d\u00edta\u010dovou korekc\u00ed a asimilac\u00ed v\u00fdstup\u016f z obou m\u011b\u0159\u00edc\u00edch syst\u00e9m\u016f jsou vytv\u00e1\u0159eny prostorov\u00e9 a \u010dasov\u00e9 charakteristiky ka\u017edoro\u010dn\u00edho formov\u00e1n\u00ed, v\u00fdvoje a rozsahu ozonov\u00e9 d\u00edry, kter\u00e9 jsou d\u00e1le p\u0159edm\u011btem anal\u00fdz a informa\u010dn\u00edch v\u00fdstup\u016f pro relevantn\u00ed odborn\u00e9 a politick\u00e9 rozhodovac\u00ed procesy, p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm v\u0161ak pro hodnocen\u00ed dopad\u016f Montrealsk\u00e9ho protokolu a jeho dodatk\u016f.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">S monitoringem t\u011bchto prvk\u016f v r\u016fzn\u00fdch zem\u011bpisn\u00fdch \u0161\u00ed\u0159k\u00e1ch maj\u00ed dlouhodob\u00e9 zku\u0161enosti pracovn\u00edci Sol\u00e1rn\u00ed a ozonov\u00e9 observato\u0159e \u010cMM\u00da v Hradci Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed se ji\u017e \u0159adu let pod\u00edlej\u00ed na udr\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed glob\u00e1ln\u00ed pozemn\u00ed s\u00edt\u011b na m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed stratosf\u00e9rick\u00e9ho ozonu v tr\u00e1mci programu GAW (Global Atmosphere Watch) Sv\u011btov\u00e9 meteorologick\u00e9 organizace a na budov\u00e1n\u00ed evropsk\u00e9 datab\u00e1ze spektr\u00e1ln\u00edch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed UV z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Zaveden\u00edm dlouhodob\u011b kvalitn\u00edch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed v\u00a0oblasti Antarktick\u00e9ho poloostrova pomoc\u00ed nejmodern\u011bj\u0161\u00edho typu Brewerova spektrofotometru (Model MK-III, dosud v\u00a0t\u00e9to oblasti nenasazen\u00fd), se datov\u00e9 a analytick\u00e9 v\u00fdstupy navrhovan\u00e9ho projektu za\u0159adily ke \u0161pi\u010dkov\u00fdm podklad\u016fm zejm\u00e9na v oblasti okam\u017eit\u00e9ho vyhodnocov\u00e1n\u00ed stavu ozonov\u00e9 d\u00edry (ozonov\u00e9 bulletiny SMO) a k validaci satelitn\u00edch syst\u00e9m\u016f (SCIAMACHY, OMI, GOME-2). Jejich mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed prezentace se mimo odborn\u00fdch \u010dasopis\u016f a tematick\u00fdch konferenc\u00ed p\u0159edpokl\u00e1d\u00e1 v \u201eScientific ozone Assessment WMO, UNEP\u201c. \u00dasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e1 realizace pravideln\u00fdch a kvalitn\u00edch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed ozonu a UV na stanici rovn\u011b\u017e umo\u017eni zv\u00fd\u0161it v\u011bdeck\u00fd potenci\u00e1l v\u00fdstup\u016f pro t\u011bsn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed spolupr\u00e1ci s dal\u0161\u00edmi stanicemi zam\u011b\u0159en\u00fdmi na monitoring ozonov\u00e9 vrstvy V dan\u00e9m regionu.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>D\u00edl\u010d\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st projektu<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">B-1) Zaveden\u00ed pravideln\u00fdch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed celkov\u00e9ho ozonu a spektr\u00e1ln\u00edho UV z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed v severov\u00fdchodn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1sti Antarktick\u00e9ho poloostrova a on-line p\u0159enos nam\u011b\u0159en\u00fdch dat k\u00a0zpracov\u00e1n\u00ed na Sol\u00e1rn\u00ed ozonovou observato\u0159 \u010cHM\u00da v Hradci Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">B-2) Vyu\u017eit\u00ed m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed celkov\u00e9ho ozonu a vertik\u00e1ln\u00edho Umkehr profilu ozonu pro operativn\u00ed hodnocen\u00ed stavu ozonov\u00e9 vrstvy a k validaci satelitn\u00edch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed ozonu.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">B-3) Vyu\u017eit\u00ed m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed spektr\u00e1ln\u00ed intenzity UV z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed pro operativn\u00ed hodnocen\u00ed pole UV-Indexu v oblasti Antarktidy, k validaci satelitn\u00edch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed UV a UV model\u016f.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Klimatick\u00e1 \u010d\u00e1st projektu, na kter\u00e9 se \u010cHM\u00da pod\u00edl\u00ed<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">1. N\u00e1kup Brewerova spektrofotometru<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Brewer\u016fv spektrofotometr MK III. P\u0159\u00edstroj byl firmou Kipp-Zonen dod\u00e1n do \u010cR v srpnu 2009.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">2. Instalace a testov\u00e1n\u00ed Brewerova spektrofotometru v \u010cR<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">a) Instalace na Sol\u00e1rn\u00ed a ozonov\u00e9 observato\u0159i \u010cesk\u00e9ho hydrometeorologick\u00e9ho \u00fastavu v Hradci Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9 v\u00a0z\u00e1\u0159i roku 2009.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">b) Testov\u00e1n\u00ed samotn\u00e9ho p\u0159\u00edstroje a dal\u0161\u00edch syst\u00e9m\u016f (satelitn\u00ed p\u0159enos dat p\u0159es Inmarsat Bgan) se uskute\u010dnilo v obdob\u00ed \u0159\u00edjen\u2013prosinec 2009.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">3. Transport a instalace Brewerova spektrofotometru v Antarktid\u011b<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">a) Transport Brewerova v lednu 2010.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">b) Instalace a testov\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159\u00edstroje v\u00a0Antarktid\u011b, \u00fanor\u2013b\u0159ezen 2010.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Samotn\u00fd transport p\u0159\u00edstroje a instalace Brewerova spektrofotometru v Antarktid\u011b byl posunut. Transport na argentinskou stanici Marambio zaji\u0161\u0165ovalo letectvo argentinsk\u00e9 arm\u00e1dy pomoc\u00ed letadel Herkules C-130. Koncern roku 2009 a za\u010d\u00e1tkem roku 2010 bohu\u017eel do\u0161lo v oblasti Ji\u017en\u00ed Ameriky k n\u011bkolika p\u0159\u00edrodn\u00edm katastrof\u00e1m (zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00ed na Haiti, rozs\u00e1hl\u00e9 povodn\u011b v Peru, ni\u010div\u00e9 zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00ed v Chile). V\u00a0r\u00e1mci \u0161irok\u00e9 humanit\u00e1rn\u00ed spolupr\u00e1ce pod z\u00e1\u0161titou organizace spojen\u00fdch n\u00e1rod\u016f (OSN) byla letadla Herkules (C-130) p\u0159ednostn\u011b pou\u017eita k humanit\u00e1rn\u00edm akc\u00edm v posti\u017een\u00fdch oblastech.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Z t\u011bchto d\u016fvod\u016f, kter\u00e9 nemohl nikdo dop\u0159edu p\u0159edpokl\u00e1dat, do\u0161lo k n\u011bkolika posun\u016fm transportu a instalace Brewerova spektrofotometru v Antarktid\u011b (od poloviny listopadu 2009 do ledna 2010).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Samotn\u00e1 instalace Brewerova spektrofotometru V Antarktid\u011b byla \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e1. P\u0159\u00edstroj pracuje v po\u0159\u00e1dku a data jsou denn\u011b p\u0159en\u00e1\u0161ena pomoc\u00ed satelitn\u00edho syst\u00e9mu Inmarsat Bgan do \u010cR, na Sol\u00e1rn\u00ed a ozonovou observato\u0159 \u010cHM\u00da v Hradci Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Instalace Brewerova spektrofotometru na argentinsk\u00e9 stanici Marambio v Antarktid\u011b (pln\u011bn\u00ed smlouvy \u010d. 19740881 \u2013 SF\u017dP \u010cR a VAV\u2013M\u017dP \u010d. SPII1 a 9\/23\/07) m\u00e1 v sou\u010dasn\u00e9 dob\u011b podporu v podepsan\u00e9m dokumentu \u201eDohody o spolupr\u00e1ci v z\u00e1le\u017eitostech Antarktidy mezi vl\u00e1dou \u010cR a vl\u00e1dou Argentiny\u201c z b\u0159ezna 2010.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"rtejustify\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Jak ji\u017e bylo uvedeno, instalace Brewerova spektrofotometru v Antarktid\u011b je \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e1, p\u0159\u00edstroj funguje v po\u0159\u00e1dku.
